Review Experiences Macromedia Flash MX Professional 2004 is very confusing and time-consuming to learn. The first chapters on placing the bitmaps on different layers or different scenes; converting bitmaps to vector graphics; breaking apart a bitmap to be able to edit image with tools;symbols and symbol instances were difficult to understand and accomplish. Doing a motion guide was difficult because the object would not snap in place. Found out that needed to use transform tool to move the circle from the middle of object to the cross in the corner of object so the cross was inside the circle. Then when clicking on the cross inside of circle and moving to the motion guide, the object would snap in place. Creating a move clip on one frame was also confusing. There is a great deal of time spent on figuring out how to accomplish a task in Flash MX. However, when a person finally figures out how to do some simple task, that has become very complicated because of confusion, there is an immense sense of accomlishment and viewing the Flash item created is very enjoyable.
